Georgia LB Natrez Patrick arrested hours after SEC title game for possession of marijuana

On Saturday, Georgia crushed Auburn in the SEC championship game and it was good vibes all around and it was time to celebrate, because they knew they were headed to the College Football Playoff.

A little over five hours after that game, one starter on that team would find himself in the back of a squad car.

“Bulldogs starting linebacker Natrez Patrick was arrested on an undisclosed misdemeanor charge in Georgia, according to online records.

According to Barrow County inmate records, Patrick was arrested at approximately 11:50 p.m. Saturday and booked at 1:30 a.m. Sunday. The specific charge is not listed, but a local NBC affiliate reported that Patrick was arrested for possession of less than one ounce of marijuana and was released Sunday morning.”

This does not bode well for his future as this is Patrick’s second time being arrested and the third arrest of his college career., with both of those arrests being for marijuana possession in 2015.
